The members of the 3rd Lustrum Committee a.k.a. LuCo

In June 2021 it will have been 15 years since GLV Idun, our beloved study association was formed. Last year a special committee was formed to celebrate her 3rd Lustrum. To let you get familiar with the members I would like to introduce the 5 till 8 year old cutiepies of the Lustrum Committee <3. 

First I would like you to meet Kris Vasse. Kris is the chairwoman and tries to make everything run smoothly, but most of all she is the ultimate hype man of this lovely committee. In her spare time, Kris likes to dance a lot and climb like a monkey. Something that can never be missing in her supply cabinet is red wine and her favorite movie is Lord of the Rings. A fun fact about Kris is that she had more than 6 years of piano lessons but can only play “Vader Jacob”. Kris would like to plant cannabis and hops plant in the Garden of Idun. Hitchhiking in Norway is on top of her bucket list together with being able to do a dyno. (A cool move in climbing.) 

Next up is Maureen “Maud” Swier. Maureen is the seccie, which means she gets to keep track of all the weird stuff Kris says. :) Maureen is most excited to see the reinvented Wabber BBQ but she also looks forward to seeing “old” Idunaren at the Bioborrel-dinner organized by the Alumni Committee. If the rest of the LuCo were to cook her a meal she would want us to cook Risotto with lots of mushrooms. Maureen really enjoys playing codenames because she likes to read the brain of her teammates and sabotage the opponents at the same time. Her favorite number is 64 and she likes to “bake” “arretjescake''. A fun fact about Maureen is that she can write backward. (But not quite like Leonardo Da Vinci.) 

Third time’s a charm: Bob Evenhuis. Bob is head of acquisition. Together with the BAF, he tries to find sponsors for the Lustrum. Because of the pandemic, we need to be extra creative in contacting potential partners. Bob’s favorite apple is an Elstar, his lucky number is 114 and his favorite movie is Ratatouille. (Food and never give up on your dreams! He loves it.) He likes to play “klaverjassen”, a surprisingly complex Dutch card game. Something that could never be missing in his supply cabinet is hummus. He sure likes that chickpea paste! On top of his bucket list is starting his own wine label with the wines he makes himself. (Cider is also cool!) Bob would plant a Vitis vinifera in the Garden of Idun to make some wine to celebrate the garden. 

Fourth in a row is Hui-ting Li. Hui-ting is a general member, which means she takes up different kinds of assignments within the committee. Recently, she has been very busy with the organization of the gala. In her spare time, Hui-ting likes to dance, hang out with friends to “wijnen, wijnen, wijnen” and when she has nothing to do with her life she likes to sleep and watch Netflix. (That is also why her spirit animal is a panda.) If the rest of the LuCo were to cook her a meal she would want us to cook a 5 course Michelin star meal. (Easy peasy lemon squeezy) A fun fact about Hui-ting is that she can curl her tongue in a W-shape. If she were a superhero her superpower would be invisibility. 

5th of the gang is Myrna Kooij. Myrna is the penny of the Luco so she makes the budgets and keeps track of the money. Myrna looks really forward to the Wabberfestival bbq. Some things that can never be missing in her supply cabinet are Nutella and Milka. If the rest of the Luco were to cook her a meal she would want us to make Lasagna. Myrna loves to play board games like Mankomanie (a fun game where you have to gamble away your money). Her favorite movie is Jurassic Park and her favorite color is blue (da ba dee da ba dah). Myrna would plant a Bird of Paradise (Strelitzia reginae) in the Garden of Idun. A fun fact about Myrna is that she can wiggle her nose wings. 

Last but not least are the newbies of our lovely committee. First to introduce is Mateo Bril. Mateo is the helper acquisition, he assists the head-acquisition with acquisitioning. In his spare time, Mateo likes to spend time with his friends and family (online and in-person), watch movies and series and he loves to cook. A fun fact about Mateo is that he sort of has 9 toes (Robert too). His lucky number is 7, his favorite apple is a Pink Lady and he loves to play a relaxing game of chess or an exciting drinking game with cards. If Mateo would have a superpower this would be the ability to control time and he would be both a supervillain and a superhero (superneutral). Mateo’s spirit animal is a jungle tiger. (RAWR) 

Second newcomer is Rianne Hobert. Rianne is part of our PR dream team (#socialbitches) together with Robert, and she helps other people when needed. Rianne loves to play games where you have to focus really well, for example, Halli Galli or “Kakkerlakken Salade”. Rianne is very clumsy (she broke her arm three times), her favorite apple is Elstar and her favorite movie is Clueless. Some things that can never be missing in her supply cabinet are coffee and olives. If the rest of the Luco were to cook her a meal she would want us to make a quiche or any kind of pasta recipe. Rianne’s spirit animal is a frog and her favorite color is rose pink. Taking a balloon ride is on top of Rianne’s bucket list. 

Last freshman to introduce is Robert Jansen. Robert is part of our PR dream team together with Rianne. (#socialbitches) Furthermore, he is so kind to share his sparkling personality. Of the activities, we organize Robert mostly likes the meetings, but besides that, the gala and Luco festival are also great. In his spare time, he loves doing sports like running, cycling, and going to the gym. Furthermore, he likes to cook and irritate his friends. Something that can never be missing in his supply cabinet is avocado’s (Because he’s a basic bitch.). Robert’s lucky number is 23 and he loves him some Granny (Smith). If he were a superhero his superpower would be teleporting. Robert is not sure what his favorite color is but he likes black. Also, his spirit animal is a squid.
