Idiomotor (Creative Committee)

Idiomotor is the committee dedicated to all things creative in GLV Idun. As the successor of the Biobak, this engine was founded in 1842 and is still going strong. The Idiomotor is a generator that provides creativity and culture for the people of Idun. To keep it running, the motor is fed with coffee, tea and beer.

In the inner machinery of the Idiomotor, the bougies move in a rhythm that reminds you of your favourite upbeat song. Drifting on this music, your mind wanders back to the amazing night of Idun takes the Stage and you look forward to seeing your fellow Idunaars play again this year. The scent of the fuel makes you want to go to the board room to have a cup of coffee with the crew of Idiomotor.

Meanwhile the engine continues to huff and puff. T-shirts are dyed in fancy colours, books are printed, stunning copies of famous Bob Ross paintings are secreted from the machine. The crew runs around pretending to be busy and hard at work, but one is dressed as a pirate. What happens there?! He stabs someone! Smoke arises! A fight breaks out! So much noise!

Once the dust settles, it becomes clear; it was an impromptu theatre play. All is well and the crew returns to their usual scurrying about. A clear bell rings, that means it is time for their lunch break. They prepare noodles and rest with a book or watch a movie. Calming piano music sounds from a nearby room.

Does this rag-tag band that keeps the engine running sound like your people? Would you like to join us to see some concerts, to soak in the waters of creativity and to organise some fun workshops where you can always be proud of your own hand-made product? Don't hesitate to contact (cultuur@idun.nl). Let's see where the power-generator of Idiomotor brings you!
