Ingredients

1365 grams flower

7 teaspoons sesame seeds

7 teaspoons baking powder

840 ml water

1400 grams sugar (buy more to be sure)

240 ml water (for the syrup)

4 liters of frying oil
Recipe

Mix the flower, baking powder and sesame seeds in a bowl.

Add the water bit by bit and knead into a dough for 10 minutes.

Cover the bowl with a cloth and let is rest for at least 20 minutes.

Add the water for the syrup and the sugar to a pan (don’t add all the water at once, likely you wont need all of it).

Heat the syrup and stur regularly with a spoon for 15 minutes. When it becomes sticky and runny, lower the flame.

Knead the dough for a few minutes.

Grab a small portion of the dough and roll into a rod.

Heat the oil in a frying pan

Fry the dough rods until golden brown.

Dip the rods in the sugary syrup.
