Vegetarian momos

Ingredients 

  • 18 chopped garlic cloves 

  • 16 cm piece of ginger chopped in small pieces 

  • 12 chili peppers chopped in small pieces 

  • 3 bundles of spring onion in small rings

  • 900 gr rasped carrot 

  • 1050 gr Chinese cabbage cut in small pieces

  • 3 teaspoons black pepper 

  • 3 teaspoons salt 

  • 6 tablespoon soy sauce  (can add more if you like) 

  • 90 ml oil 

  • multiple packages of the dumpling wrappings 

 

Recipe

  • Heat the oil and fry the garlic, ginger and chili peppers in the pan

  • Add half of the spring onion and fry this mixture for 1 minute

  • Turn up the heat and add the carrot and the cabbage, stir-fry this until it looks good

  • Add the rest of the spring onion, the salt, pepper and the soy sauce 

  • The stuffing is ready now

  • Fold the dumplings, don’t put them on top of each other because they might stick together. 

  • Steam the dumplings for 6 minutes

  • Serve with the sauce
